THE STORY BEHIND LOCOMOTIVE SMOKE:
• The name Locomotive Smoke was inspired by the smoky plumes rising from locomotives as they traveled down the tracks. The deep charcoal and lighter gray tones of this hand-dyed yarn reminded me of that drifting smoke.

But the name has an even more personal meaning. Locomotive Smoke was created in honor of my dad, who loved trains. This yarn is a small way of carrying that memory into something handmade and useful.

Each Locomotive Smoke piece is made from the same hand-dyed batch, but the exact placement of the lighter and darker tones will naturally vary.
