Rainbow Riot is a handmade Head Wrap created from an exceptionally colorful 100% wool thick-and-thin yarn.

The yarn moves through vibrant blues, greens, yellows, oranges, reds, pinks, purples, and softer pastel shades, with dramatic changes in thickness throughout. Those chunky sections create an almost sculptural texture across the finished piece.

Because the original yarn was so irregular and colorful, the color placement in this Head Wrap is completely unique. The piece pictured is the exact piece you will receive.

THE RAINBOW RIOT STORY:
The yarn used to make this Head Wrap was purchased at the 2026 WNY Fiber Arts Festival from Spinners Hill, based in Bainbridge, New York.

Rainbow Riot is 100% wool and was spun with a distinctive thick-and-thin construction that gives it its wonderfully chunky appearance.

This Head Wrap was made by hand in the Sideshow Knitting studio. The irregularities in the yarn aren't flaws — they're part of what makes this particular fiber so interesting.
